Jodhpur to celebrate World Sacred Spirit Festival

The ninth edition of the World Sacred Spirit Festival (WSSF) is set to be organised at Mehrangarh Fort in Jodhpur, Rajasthan, from February 26 to 28.

This is the ninth year in a row, when the Mehrangarh Museum Trust will enthral the audience at the WSSF. The festival is famed for presenting sacred traditions belonging to the Orient, Africa and the East. This year, the festival will kick it up a notch with an impressive line-up of artists.

Visitors at the historical musical event will be enchanted by the candlelit setting, where the spiritual arts will transport them into bygone times in a bid to capture the essence of traditions past.

Highlights of the festival include sarod maestro Amjad Ali Khan with sons Amaan and Ayaan Ali Khan, Daud Khan Sadozai (Afghanistan), Andrés Marín (Spain) with Divana, Devadasi and Apsaras, Epi, Maati Baani, Driss El Maloumi Oud, Madan Gopal Singhji, Shaikh Yasîn al-Tuhâmi, Sardar Gurdayal Singh, Tamango (France), Stelios Petrakis Quartet (Greece), Teratali and Yulduz Turdieva (Uzbekistan).
